I know you have only asked me for a testimonial but with regard to your new website I would like to make some suggestions which I hope you will find helpful.
For me the key thing about your business is the two of you. You write about the personal service Darling Interiors offers, but the pictures on you current website are very focused on product. I think the 2 of you are as important as the high quality products you produce, so I suggest that visitors to your site should be seeing pictures of you & Geoff very early on in
their time on the site. Add a potted history about each of you & the personal service starts to come alive.
Possibly include the folk that make your curtains, you have quite a long relationship with
these people I believe and that would be good to know. I think all this would both emphasise the personal nature of your business & at the same time show that you can cope with lots of work.
When I visited your website it was not clear to me that I would get straight through to Jean. Is that usually the case? If so I think you should say that.
The fact that you and Geoff personally visit to measure up, present fabric samples & do all the fitting needs emphasis as well. This is what makes you a truly personal service oriented business and sets you apart from John Lewis for example.”
